Wrist procedures and surgical techniques.
Wrist fractures are among the most common upper limb fractures. They particularly affect elderly osteoporotic patients as a result of low-energy trauma and metaphyseal fractures. They also affect younger patients, typically following high-energy trauma, resulting in more complex fractures. In recent years, treatment principles for these fractures have evolved significantly, now requiring anatomical reduction followed by early rehabilitation and mobilization, with minimal to no immobilization. Surgical treatment has become the standard in the majority of cases.
Locked anatomical plating is increasingly becoming the gold standard, especially in the management of more complex fractures, to achieve stable anatomical reduction and to prevent articular incongruence, which can lead to post-traumatic osteoarthritis. These specific treatments, tailored to the type of fracture, the patient’s anatomy, and the preservation of surrounding tissues, are made possible thanks to our extremely diverse range of implants, allowing both volar and dorsal approaches.
Most of our implants are also available in sterile, single-use kits: INITIAL Solutions.
All these solutions can also be combined with patient-specific cutting guides, enabling corrective osteotomies for malunions or deformities.

Xpert Wrist
Xpert Wrist is a comprehensive range of anatomical implants. Locking technologies using screws, pegs, cannulated screws, and locked wires, along with a wide variety of instruments, enable precise control of fracture and malunion reduction, whether intra- or extra-articular, to support the surgical procedure.
