The implants in the Alians Forearm range are dedicated to the fixation of radius and ulna fractures and osteotomies in adults.
Positive ulnar variance may be constitutional or post-traumatic following a distal radius fracture. It results from a relative lengthening of the ulna compared to the radius. When it becomes symptomatic, this anomaly can lead to ulnocarpal impaction, characterized by overload of the structures on the ulnar side of the wrist. It is a common cause of pain and may result in reduced grip strength.
Surgical treatment involves performing a diaphyseal ulnar shortening osteotomy and stabilizing the correction with a stable osteosynthesis system using a locked screw plate.
The Alians Ulna 3/3 range offers a complete system of associated plates and cutting guides designed to perform ulnar shortening osteotomies. All implants and instruments are gathered in a single kit.
A simple and effective solution
for ulna shortening osteotomies.

This plate model, symmetrical and anatomical, is designed for the stabilization of ulna osteotomies. It includes three Ø3.5 mm screws on each side of the osteotomy site, in both the distal and proximal parts, as well as a Ø2.8 mm transfixing screw crossing the site to maintain it under compression.

The associated cutting guide is modular, to match the shortening value defined for the osteotomy (from 2 mm to 6 mm). It is designed to perform oblique cuts, allowing for a larger interosseous contact surface during the healing phase.
The implant is compatible with three different surgical approaches: palmar, dorsal, and lateral.

The system is equipped with a cannulated rack handle, allowing for effective and intuitive compression.
This mechanism facilitates closing the osteotomy site once the cuts are made, while maintaining the alignment of the bone fragments.

The key features of the Alians Ulna 3/3 range.
- A versatile system, suitable for all possible approaches for this indication
- Ø3.5 mm screws for better construct stability, completed with a Ø 2.8 mm lag screw to maintain compression of the osteotomy site
- Modular cutting guide, with exclusive rack and pinion system to manage the closure of the ulna osteotomy
