A kit in the INITIAL S HAND range comprises either a set of instruments or a set of instruments and implants (compression washers), which can only be used in orthopedic or trauma surgery, when fitting osteosynthesis screws marketed by Newclip Technics. The implants in the Stand-Alone Screws range are designed for the fixation of fractures, osteotomies and bone arthrodesis in adults, and are appropriate to the size of the device.
Newclip Technics has developed Initial S to facilitate patient flow management and reduce the time taken to treat them in the operating room. These single-use instrument kits allow the fitting of sterile screws (cannulated or non-cannulated)*, used during hand surgeries: INITIAL S HAND.
INITIAL S HAND currently offers 3 individual instrument kits for cannulated self-compressive screws (Ø2.25 mm, Ø2.6 mm, and Ø3.0 mm).
* The screws are not available in the Initial S Hand kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box).

Our sterile solution: INITIAL S HAND.

The INITIAL S HAND kits for cannulated screws for the hand include a quick-release drill, a 3-in-1 instrument, a quick-release handle, a double guide, and pins.
The kit composition varies depending on the screw diameter offered:
- Kit for self-compressing cannulated screws Ø2.25 mm (cannula 0.9 mm – L14 mm to L34 mm for short thread – L12 mm to L34 mm for long thread)
- Kit for self-compressing or positioning cannulated screws Ø2.6 mm (cannula 1.1 mm – L14 mm to L34 mm for short thread – L10 mm to L34 mm for long thread – L10 mm to L34 mm for full thread)
- Kit for self-compressing or positioning cannulated screws Ø3.0 mm (cannula 1.1 mm – L14 mm to L34 mm for short thread – L10 mm to L40 mm for long thread – L10 mm to L40 mm for full thread)
- Self-drilling and self-tapping, they come in several versions: short thread, long thread, and full thread.

Key Features of the INITIAL S HAND Range.
- 3 screw diameters: Ø2.25mm, Ø2.6mm, and Ø3.0mm
- 3 thread types: short thread, long thread, full thread
- Self-drilling and self-tapping cannulated screws
- A 3-in-1 instrument per screw diameter allowing cortical preparation (bur), length measurement (differential gauge), and screw insertion (screwdriver)
- A sterile, single-use, ready-to-use format, suitable for emergency situations:
- No sterilization costs for the hospital
- Reduced risk of contamination1
- Immediate access to materials: no restocking wait time
- Reduction in operating time and costs2-3
- Easier traceability thanks to detailed labeling
- Ergonomic format adapted to instrument sets3
