Alians Ulna 3/3
.

Your solution for ulna shortening osteotomies.

The implants in the Alians Ulna range are designed for ulna shortening osteotomies in adults.

Ulnocarpal conflict can occur constitutionally or post-trauma following a fracture of the distal radius. It is the consequence of a positive ulnar variance, that is to say that the ulna is too long compared to the radius. This pathology is a frequent cause of pain on the ulnar side of the wrist and can limit strength.

The procedure consists of performing an osteotomy to shorten the ulna at the diaphyseal or metaphyseal level and stabilizing the correction by stable osteosynthesis using a locked screwed plate.

The Alians Ulna 3/3 range offers a complete system of plates and associated cutting guides designed to perform osteotomies to shorten the distal ulna. The dedicated plates and devices are combined in a single kit.

ALIANS ULNA 3/3

This plate model is symmetrical and covers the osteotomy site with 3 distal screws and 3 proximal screws Ø 3.5 mm (one compression screw and five locking screws). An additional Ø 2.8 mm lag screw crosses the osteotomy site to ensure that it is held in compression.

The associated cutting guide is modular, in order to match the shortening value defined for the osteotomy (from 1 mm to 6 mm). It allows oblique cuts to be made, for a larger interosseous contact surface during the consolidation phase.

It is also equipped with a rack and pinion system that enables the osteotomy site to be closed once the cuts have been made, while maintaining the alignment of the distal and proximal sections of the ulna.

The key features of the Alians Ulna 3/3 range.

  • A versatile system, suitable for all possible approaches for this indication
  • Ø3.5 mm screws for better construct stability, completed with a Ø 2.8 mm lag screw to maintain compression of the osteotomy site
  • Modular cutting guide, with exclusive rack and pinion system to manage the closure of the ulna osteotomy
