The implants in the INITIAL A range are designed for the fixation of fractures, osteotomies, and pseudarthrosis of the distal and diaphyseal fibula, the distal tibia and the fixation of the syndesmosis in adults.
In addition to its Activ Ankle range, Newclip Technics offers a solution for distal fibula fractures in a sterile, single-use kit: INITIAL A.
A plate, screws, and specific devices combined in a single ready-to-use kit.
As a result, patient rotation becomes more efficient within the operating room, making its use more efficient.
It means surgeons and healthcare personnel can reduce the time taken to treat cases.
We currently offer 9 kits: 3 plate sizes for the right and left sides, 2 narrow symmetrical sizes, and 1 kit for syndesmosis.
Ready when you are!
Our sterile solution: INITIAL A.
INITIAL A kits consist of implants and instrumentation for fibula fractures. These kits include a plate, screws, quick-coupling drill bits, 2-in-1 device, length gauge, threaded guide gauge, guide gauge handle, screwdriver, and associated pins.
8 kits available:
- 3 plate sizes for the right and left sides
- 2 narrow symmetrical sizes
The INITIAL A Syndesmosis kit is designed for screw refixation of the syndesmosis. This dedicated instrument kit includes a quick-coupling drill bit, a non-threaded guide gauge, a screwdriver, and compression washers.
The screws are not available in the Initial A Syndesmosis kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box).
The associated screws for this kit are:
- Non-locking screws (fully threaded) ø3.5 mm (length 40 to 70 mm)
- Lag screws (partially threaded) ø4.0 mm long (length 40 to 70 mm)
The INITIAL A range offers 3 sizes of “standard” plates for the right and left sides. The design of these plates allows the fixation of complex fractures and can be used with or without syndesmosis management (Initial A Syndesmosis kit).
Bending areas facilitate the congruence of the plate to the bone, in particular on the diaphyseal part, which presents great anatomical variability from one patient to another.
The INITIAL A range has 2 narrow lateral plate sizes. The design of these plates allows the fixation of simple fractures and can be used with or without syndesmosis management (INITIAL A Syndesmosis kit).
Bending areas facilitate the congruence of the plate to the bone, in particular on the diaphyseal part, which presents great anatomical variability from one patient to another.
Why choose the INITIAL A range?
- Bendable areas allowing the plates to be adapted to bone anatomy
- Plates fitted with polyaxial locked holes in the epiphysis allowing an angular range of +/- 10° (20° amplitude)
- Limits the risks of infection and cross-contamination
- Guarantees the traceability of implants
- Reduces equipment preparation time
- Option: replacement kits, ablation kits, and plate templates
