The Footmotion Plating System range includes arthrodesis plates for the first metatarso-phalangeal (MTP) joint, designed the surgical procedure. A medial approach the access to the holes in dorso-medial position of joint.
Newclip Technics therefore developed these plates in a sterile single use kit as well: Initial F MTP.
A plate, screws and specific instruments combined in a single kit ready at all times for surgeons and healthcare institutions.
Today, we propose 8 kits: 3 standard plate sizes for the right and left sides, 1 size of narrow plate for the right and left sides

Initial F MTP
The Initial F MTP kits are composed of implants and instrumentation for the first metatarso-phalangeal (MTP) joint. These kits include a plate, screws (locking and non-locking), pins, a screwdriver, a length gauge, a handle for guide gauge, a quick coupling drill and a threaded guide gauge.
8 kits available:
- 3 standard plate sizes for right and left sides
- 1 size of standard plates for right and left sides
To prepare the joint surface, we propose 3 kits of additional single use convex and concave reamers.
A medial approach facilitates the access to the holes in dorso-medial position of joint.
Unlike other implants for which the trans-articular screw is positioned outside the plate, this MTP plate integrates a trans-articular screw with an orientation that avoids the other screws of the plate.
