The implants of the INITIAL R XPERT 2.4 range are dedicated to the fixation of fractures, osteotomies, and arthrodeses of the hand and forearm in adults.
Wrist fractures are among the most common fractures of the upper limb. To address the different types of fractures, Newclip Technics has developed the Xpert Wrist range.
By combining the Xpert Wrist implant offering with its expertise in sterile single-use kits, Newclip has created INITIAL R XPERT 2.4, to provide a solution adapted to the emergency management of the most frequent wrist fractures.
One plate size, screw size, and its dedicated instruments are brought together in a single ready-to-use kit. It enables surgeons and other healthcare professionals to reduce the time required to manage cases. As a result, patient turnover becomes more efficient in the operating room, contributing to better utilization of the OR.
These kits are available in 10 implant sizes for the volar approach, as well as 3 sizes of plates dedicated to anterior marginal fractures (“Volar RIM” plates), in different widths, for both left and right sides, offering one of the most comprehensive plate selections.

Our sterile solution: INITIAL R XPERT 2.4

INITIAL R XPERT 2.4 kits consist of implants and instrumentation for wrist fractures. These kits each include one volar plate size, Ø2.4 mm screws (locking and non-locking), as well as a screwdriver, length gauge, quick-coupling drill bit, threaded guide gauge, guide gauge handle, a polyaxial drilling guide, and pins.
For each side, this complete solution comprises:
- Extra short volar plate kits, asymmetrical
- Volar plate kits, size 1 (narrow and standard head), asymmetrical
- Volar plate kits, size 2 (narrow, standard, and wide head), asymmetrical
- Volar plate kits, size 3 (narrow, standard, and wide head), asymmetrical
- Volar plate kits, size 4 (wide head), asymmetrical
- Volar Rim plate kits, (narrow, standard, and wide head), asymmetrical

The extra-short Volar plate has been specifically designed for minimally invasive management of simple extra-articular distal radius fractures:
- Compact design allowing for a minimally invasive approach and a 1.5 cm incision
- Extra-short plate specifically designed for MIPO technique, preserving the pronator quadratus muscle
- Divergent screw orientation to enhance plate anchorage
- Preformed plate following the watershed line for anatomical fit
- Slim profile and rounded edges to minimize tendon contact
- Polyaxial or monoaxial locking screw technology
- Locked oblong hole technology (patented)

A complete range of Volar plates with 3 head widths (narrow, standard, wide) has been developed to allow screw positioning along the subchondral bone:
Preformed plates following the watershed line for anatomical fit
Slim profile and rounded edges to minimize tendon contact
Polyaxial or monoaxial locking screw technology
Locked oblong hole technology (patented)
Window for improved visualization of the fracture line or insertion of bone substitute

Volar plates in size 3 (narrow, standard, wide) are characterized by their two pre-oriented monoaxial locked pegs, designed to reach the tip of the radial styloid and secure small fragments:
- 2 pre-oriented monoaxial locked pegs targeting the radial styloid to reduce small fragments and support the radial column
- Preformed plates following the watershed line for anatomical fit
- Slim profile and rounded edges to minimize tendon contact
- Polyaxial or monoaxial locking screw technology
- Locked oblong hole technology (patented)
- Window for improved visualization of the fracture line or insertion of bone substitute

A complete range of Volar RIM plates with 3 head widths (narrow, standard, wide) has also been specifically developed for extra-distal fractures:
- Lateral rim to facilitate implant positioning on the watershed line
- Preformed plates for anatomical fit
- Polyaxial or monoaxial locking screw technology
- Locked oblong hole technology (patented)
- Window for improved visualization of the fracture line or insertion of bone substitute
