The implants of the Xpert Wrist range are intended for the fixation of hand and forearm fractures, osteotomies and arthrodeses in adults.
Wrist fractures are among the most common fractures of the upper limb. In recent years, the principles of management of these fractures have been widely questioned and require anatomical reduction followed by early rehabilitation and mobilisation, with almost no immobilisation. Orthopaedic treatment has therefore evolved towards a specific surgical treatment adapted to the type of fracture, the patient’s anatomy and respect for the surrounding tissues. Osteosynthesis by locking anatomical plates has thus become a standard, particularly in the treatment of the most complex fractures, in order to obtain a stable anatomical reduction and to prevent the joint incongruence responsible for post-traumatic arthrosis (1)(2).
The Xpert Wrist 2.4 range has been designed with these principles in mind, offering a full range of anatomical implants, locking technologies such as screws, pegs, cannulated screws and locking pins, as well as a wide variety of instruments to manage the reduction of intra- or extra-articular fractures and calluses, to accompany the surgical procedure..

Osteotomy plate
A full range of volar plates with 3 head widths (narrow, standard, wide).
Two-row fixation in which proximal screws support the dorsal subchondral bone and distal screws support the volar central subchondral bone, using the volar variable-angle locking plate allow to achieve better anatomical reduction. To this end, we offer a comprehensive range of volar plates available in 3 head widths (narrow, standard, wide) for adapted screw positioning along the subchondral bone(3)

The volar size 3 plate is available with 3 head widths (narrow, standard, wide). These plates features 2 pre-angulated monoaxial locking holes targeting the radial styloid.

A wide range of implants for the radial and intermediate column:
- Dorso-medial plate: 3 extra-narrow sizes, 1 standard size
- Radial column Latero-dorsal plates, 3 sizes
- Dorso-lateral plates, 1 size
- Radial column side plates: 3 sizes
- Volar radial plates : 1 narrow size and 1 standard size
The distal ulna plates are available in 2 sizes and have an antero-lateral positioning with an anterior bracket

To complete our range, there are hook plates:
- Anterior hook plates (1 size symmetrical and 1 size right and left):
- anterior hook plate can be fitted with a radial volar plate
- Posterior hook plate (1 symmetrical size)
Osteotomy plate, size 2 :
- 2 oblong locking holes that allow adjustment of plate positioning with a locking or non-locking screw
- Compatible with PSI (not available in US)
Specific instruments for this this plate:
- Distraction pliers to adjust the ulnar variance
- Threaded guide for distraction pliers
The osteotomy plate and instruments are not in the Xpert Wrist 2.4 kit, they can be ordered separately.
