Wrist fractures are among the most common fractures of the upper limb. In recent years, the management principles of these fractures have been widely challenged and now require an anatomical reduction followed by early rehabilitation and mobilization, with very little immobilization. As a result, orthopedic treatment has evolved towards specific surgical treatment adapted to the fracture type, the patient’s anatomy, and the preservation of surrounding tissues. Locked anatomical plate osteosynthesis has thus become a standard, especially for treating the most complex fractures, to achieve stable anatomical reduction and prevent joint incongruence responsible for post-traumatic arthritis.
The Xpert Wrist range was designed according to these principles, offering a complete range of anatomical implants for the treatment of intra- or extra-articular wrist fractures and malunions. It incorporates locking technologies using locked screws, locked peg screws (cannulated or not), or locked pins, as well as a wide variety of instruments to support the surgical procedure.
The implants in the Xpert Wrist range are dedicated to the fixation of fractures, osteotomies, and arthrodeses of the hand and forearm in adults.

Sizes XS, 1, 2, and 4 are available in sterile single-use version: INITIAL R XPERT 2.4

The size 3 volar plate (narrow, standard, wide) is distinguished by its two pre-oriented monoaxial locked holes, designed to reach the tip of the radial styloid and provide support to the radial column:
-
2 pre-oriented monoaxial locked holes targeting the radial styloid to reduce small fragments
-
Pre-contoured plate, following the watershed line, for anatomical fit
-
Slim profile and rounded edges minimizing tendon contact

Size 3 is available in sterile single-use version: INITIAL R XPERT 2.4

A complete range of volar rim plates with 3 head widths (narrow, standard, wide) has also been specifically developed for complex intra-articular distal radius fractures:
- Distal rim facilitating implant positioning on the watershed line
- Pre-contoured plates for anatomical fit
- Polyaxial or monoaxial locking technology
- Locked oblong hole technology (patented)
- Window for improved visualization of the fracture line or bone substitute insertion.
The volar rim plates are available in sterile single-use version: INITIAL R XPERT 2.4

A complete range of specific plates has been designed to treat complex distal radius fractures, fragment by fragment:
-
Dorsomedial plates (3 extra-narrow head sizes and 1 standard head size)
-
Dorsolateral plates (1 size)
-
Distal radial column plates (3 sizes)
-
Laterodorsal radial column plates (3 sizes)
-
Volar radial plates (2 sizes) with two pre-oriented monoaxial locked holes targeting the radial styloid
These fragment-specific plates are available in sterile single-use version: INITIAL R XPERT 2.4 – Fragment Specific.

To complete our offer and provide a comprehensive solution for the treatment of complex distal radius fractures, we offer hook plates:
- Anterior hook plates (1 symmetrical size and 1 left and right size):
- Possible assembly of an anterior hook plate with a radial palmar plate to reach the radial styloid
- Posterior hook plate (1 symmetrical size)

Distal ulna plates are offered in 2 sizes and provide a treatment solution for fractures of the head, neck, and distal ulna shaft:
- Pre-contoured plates for anatomical fit
- Polyaxial or monoaxial locking technology
- Locked oblong hole technology (patented)
- Latero-anterior positioning ensured by an anterior tab
- Hook for positioning on the ulnar styloid
- Bending zones to achieve the desired fit if needed
The distal ulna plates are available in sterile single-use version: INITIAL R XPERT 2.4 – Fragment Specific.

The palmar osteotomy plate has been specially designed to correct ulnar variance, a key factor in wrist biomechanics:
- Pre-contoured plates for anatomical fit
- 2 locked oblong holes allowing adjustment of plate positioning with either a locked or non-locked screw
- Compatible with the ONE solution (patient-specific cutting guide)
- Specific ancillary instruments for this plate
- Distraction forceps to adjust ulnar variance
- Drilling sleeve for the distraction forceps
The osteotomy plate and ancillary instruments are not included in the Xpert Wrist kit; they are ordered separately.

Spanning plates provide a provisional internal fixation solution for complex distal radius fractures, particularly highly comminuted fractures or for elderly osteoporotic patients:
-
Symmetrical plates designed to be positioned on the 2nd or 3rd metacarpal
-
Anatomical design following the curvature of the radial shaft
-
Rounded edges, smooth surface, and slim profile, especially on the distal part of the plate, to protect soft tissues
-
Locked and non-locked screws of 2.4 mm in the distal part and 3.5 mm in the proximal part
-
Oblong holes to maintain distraction and assist with plate positioning
Two designs and two plate sizes to adapt to different patient anatomies and meet surgical needs:
-
12° curved plates for neutral hand positioning
-
Straight plates

Designed to treat severe comminuted fractures with small fragments, the K-Lock is a pin-on-plate locking fixation system that secures unstable, too small, or too distal fragments that cannot be fixed with locked screws. This stabilizes the fragments without drilling, avoiding harmful micro-fractures caused by vibrations.
Patented technology, the K-Lock is compatible with all plates in the Xpert Wrist range, whether Volar or Fragment Specific:
- Polyaxiality of ±10°
- Hexalobe connection
- Ø1.2 mm pin
- Cannulated T10 screwdriver
The K-Lock system ancillary instruments are available in the following configurations:
- Complete Xpert Wrist kit (3 tiers)
- Optional Xpert Wrist kit

The Xpert Wrist range also offers dedicated instrumentation for the treatment of intra-articular distal radius fractures.
The Stepwise technique is a fragment-by-fragment reduction method that can be performed under arthroscopic control using cannulated instrumentation:
- Cannulated instruments and screws
- Short and long guidewires
The use of guidewires stabilizes the volar fragments during fixation, allowing reconstruction of the articular surface.
How to use the instrumentation?
- Reduction and fixation of fragments using guidewires, with short or long guides depending on guidewire length
- Replacement of guidewires one by one with cannulated screws or locking nuts (K-Lock system)
