Footmotion Forefoot
.

Your cannulated screw solution for the forefoot.

The implants in the Stand-Alone Screws range are designed for the fixation of fractures, osteotomies and bone arthrodesis in adults, and are appropriate to the size of the device.

Newclip Technics has developed a complete range of screws and instruments for foot surgery and more specifically for bunion treatment. The Footmotion Screws range includes partially-threaded cannulated screws from Ø2.25 mm to Ø4.0 mm with heads and without heads, a snap-off screw for Weil osteotomies, a Ø3.5 mm chamfered screw for a minimally invasive approach, percutaneous countersinks, and stainless steel staples.

The Footmotion range stands out, among other things, for its patented 3-in-1 instrumentation and its single-use sterile kits (Initial S Foot) which can be adapted to the practitioner’s every need.

Our solutions for the forefoot.

SELF-COMPRESSING CANNULATED SCREWS

Three diameters of self-tapping, self-drilling and self-compressive cannulated screws are available:

  • Ø2.25 mm, L10 mm to L34 mm, cannulated for a Ø0.8 mm pin
  • Ø2.6 mm, L10mm to L40mm, cannulated for a Ø1.0 mm pin
  • Ø3.0 mm, L10 mm to L40 mm, cannulated for a Ø1.0 mm pin
  • Hexalobe format

The screws are available in a non-sterile version (Footmotion kit) or sterile version (S-box single packaging).

The screws can be used with standard reusable instrumentation (Footmotion kit) or with our single-use sterile kit (Initial S Foot: for more information, please visit the relevant page).

CANNULATED COMPRESSIVE SCREWS WITH HEAD

The Footmotion range also offers two diameters of self-drilling compression screws with a short thread:

  • Ø3.5 mm
  • Ø4.0 mm

The two screws have hexagonal format

WEIL SCREW

Ø2.0 mm snap-off screw with self-drilling and self-tapping end. The screw head is also self-drilling, allowing partial burial of the screw head.

The proximal part (screw) detaches from the non-implanted part (rod) as soon as the head comes into contact with the bone. This minimizes the use of the screwdriver (but it is available if necessary)

The screwdriver can also be used for ablation

These screws are available in lengths from 11 mm to 15 mm.

They have a hexagonal format

PERCUTANEOUS SURGERY

Newclip Technics offers a comprehensive solution designed for percutaneous surgery on the forefoot. This solution comprises:

  • A complete range of percutaneous countersinks designed for forefoot, midfoot and rearfoot surgery.
  • The countersinks are available in straight or helical versions from Ø2.0 mm to Ø4.0 mm, with a cutting length from 8 mm to 30 mm, to effectively cover the different needs inherent to this surgery.
  • A self-compressive cannulated screw with a chamfered head Ø3.5 mm, developed specifically for the treatment of percutaneous bunions. It has a 45° bevel at the threaded head. (Only available in S-box single packaging)
  • A G•Halva drill guide specially designed to be used with the chamfered screw for percutaneous bunion surgery. Its asymmetrical design allows it to be compatible with the left and right foot, and is intended for one-dimensional use. (please visit the relevant page to find out more)

A range of associated instruments is also offered for soft tissue management during this surgical approach (blade holder, beaver, elevator, rasps, etc.).

The key features of the Footmotion Screws range.

  • A 3-in-1 instrument per screw diameter to prepare the cortex (countersink), measure the required length (differential gauge) and insert the screw (screwdriver).
  • Shared instrumentation between the Ø2.6 mm and Ø3.0 mm screws for easy use: unique pin, drill bit, countersink, and screwdriver
  • A complete solution for percutaneous surgery: countersinks, chamfered screws, G•halva drill guide, and associated instruments.
  • A snap-off screw designed for Weil osteotomies
  • A single-use instrument (Initial S Foot) available for cannulated screws and snap-off Weil screws
