Initial K Hinge Screw is part of the Initial S Range. The Initial S™ single use sterile kits consist of a set of instruments or a setof instruments and implants (washers) to be used only in trauma or orthopaedic surgery, when Newclip Technics screws for osteosynthesis are fitted.The Large Screws range is indicated for the fixation of bone fractures, pseudarthroses, fusions and osteotomies of foot and ankle as well as medium and large bone fragments including radius, humerus, femur, tibia in adults.

Initial K – Hinge Screw is part of the Initial S™ range, which combines sterile single use instrumentation kits, used combined with screws from the Stand-Alone Screws range. These implants (cannulated or non-cannulated) are intended for the fixation of fractures, osteotomies and bone arthrodeses in adults. Their sizes are suitable for the surgical site to be approached.
Initial K – Hinge screw is thus designed to manage ruptures of the bone hinge which may occur during osteotomy of the tibia (so-called type I or III “Takeuchi” fracture ) or of the femur. This screw can also allow just to reinforce the hinge when the surgeon deems it necessary, thus limiting the concentration of mechanical constraints in this area essential to bone reconstruction.
These bone hinge fractures in knee osteotomy are complications which, even though rare, may occur while performing an osteotomy (mobilisation of the hinge to obtain the desired correction), and thus require their reduction by an appropriate size screw.

Initial K Screws
Initial K Hinge Screw is composed of instrumentation for the insertion of self-compressive screws for ruptures of the bone hinge. This kit includes one 3-in-1 instrument, single use handle, pins, quick coupling drill bit and double guide.
The screws are not available in the Initial K Hinge Screw kit, they are available separately in a sterile version (S-box).

- Cannulated guided by a pin
- Headless to insert completely in the bone
- Hexalobular recess
