A kit in the INITIAL S range comprises either a set of instruments or a set of instruments and implants (compression washers), which can only be used in orthopedic or trauma surgery, when fitting osteosynthesis screws marketed by Newclip Technics.
Newclip Technics has developed INITIAL S to facilitate patient flow management and reduce the time taken to treat them in the operating room. These single-use instrument kits allow the fitting of sterile screws (cannulated or non-cannulated)* used during foot surgeries.
The INITIAL S range is currently available in two sub-ranges: INITIAL S FOOT and INITIAL S EVO depending on the screw format. INITIAL S FOOT screws have a hexagonal format while INITIAL S EVO screws have a hexalobe format.
INITIAL S has 2 individual instrument kits for cannulated compression screws (Ø3.5 mm and Ø4.0 mm).
INITIAL S EVO has 3 individual instrument kits: 1 shared instrument kit for cannulated screws of Ø2.6 mm and Ø3.0 mm, 1 instrument kit for cannulated screws Ø2.25 mm and 1 instrument kit for chamfered screws Ø3.5 mm.
*The screws are not available in the Initial S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box).

Our sterile solution: INITIAL S FOOT & S EVO.

The INITIAL S EVO kits for cannulated self-compressive screws each include a quick-connect drill bit, a 3-in-1 ancillary tool, a quick-connect handle, and pins. To facilitate use and storage, the instrumentation has been shared between the Ø2.6 mm and Ø3.0 mm screws, and one kit is dedicated to Ø2.25 mm screws.
- Kit for cannulated self-compressive screws Ø2.25 mm (0.9 mm cannula – length from 12 to 34 mm)
- Kit for cannulated self-compressive screws Ø2.25 mm (0.9 mm cannula – length from 12 to 34 mm)
- Kit for cannulated self-compressive screws Ø2.6 mm (1.1 mm cannula – length from 10 to 34 mm) and Ø3.0 mm (1.1 mm cannula – length from 10 to 40 mm)
All three have hexalobular drives.
The screws are not included in the INITIAL S FOOT kit; they are available separately in sterile individual packaging (S-box).

The INITIAL S EVO instrumentation kit for chamfered cannulated screws Ø3.5 mm includes a quick-coupling drill bit, a 3-in-1 device, a handle, and pins. This kit has been developed for:
- Self-compressive cannulated screws with chamfered head Ø3.5 mm (1.25 mm cannula – length from 20 to 60 mm)
The screws were developed specifically to treat bunions in percutaneous surgery using MICA technology in percutaneous surgery. They have a 45° bevel at the threaded head. The bevel will minimize the protrusion of the head once correctly indexed at the end of screwing.
As an option, it has a differential gauge for screws L50 to L60 mm.
These screws can be used in combination with the G•Halva guide, a drill guide for percutaneous surgery on the forefoot.
The screws are not available in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box).

The INITIAL S FOOT kit for Ø3.5 mm cannulated screws with head includes a quick-coupling drill bit, a 3-in-1 device, a double guide (for pin and drill bit), a snap-on handle, and pins. This kit has been developed for:
- Ø3.5 mm compressive screws – Ø1.25 cannula (length 14 to 50 mm)
A sterile compression washer is optional, which can be used in combination with these screws.
The screws are not available in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box).

The instrumentation kit for Ø4.0 mm compressive cannulated screws + washers includes a differential gauge, 2-in-1 device, a drill bit, a handle, pins, and compression washers. This kit has been developed for:
- compressive screws Ø4.0mm – cannula Ø1.4, short thread (length 26 to 70 mm)*
The screws are not available in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box).

Key features of the INITIAL S FOOT & S EVO kit.
