INITIAL S FOOT & S EVO
.

Single-use instrument kits for foot screws.

To support surgeons in the management of forefoot pathologies, Newclip Technics has developed a wide range of screws of different diameters and shapes. This offering has been designed to adapt to each indication, the patient’s anatomy, and the technical preferences of each surgeon.

Whether for Akin or Chevron osteotomies, MTP arthrodesis, or basal osteotomies, the use of screws is essential in forefoot surgery. To address this growing practice and streamline organization in the operating room, Newclip Technics has designed ready-to-use single-use kits dedicated to foot surgery.

The INITIAL S range has been designed to facilitate patient flow management and reduce surgical lead times, thanks to single-use sterile instrumentation kits dedicated to the placement of osteosynthesis screws (cannulated or not)*.

Each kit includes the instrumentation required for screw placement (and, where applicable, compression washers for headed screws), intended exclusively for use in orthopedic and trauma surgery with Newclip Technics implants.

Today, the INITIAL S range is available in two sub-ranges:

INITIAL S FOOT: hexagonal drive

INITIAL S EVO: hexalobe drive

INITIAL S offers 2 individual instrumentation kits for cannulated compression screws:

– Ø3.5 mm

– Ø4.0 mm

INITIAL S EVO offers 3 individual kits:

– Shared kit for cannulated screws Ø2.6 mm and Ø3.0 mm

– Kit for cannulated screws Ø2.25 mm

– Kit for beveled screws Ø3.5 mm

*The screws are not included in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box). Initially developed for forefoot surgery, the screws of the INITIAL S range can nevertheless be used in other anatomical regions, depending on specific needs and the surgeon’s judgment.
With diameters up to 4.0 mm, these screws are also suitable for various indications: hand surgery, hindfoot surgery, wrist surgery, and certain distal tibial indications.

Our sterile solution: INITIAL S FOOT & S EVO.

KITS FOR CANNULATED SELF-COMPRESSIVE SCREWS Ø2.25, Ø2.6, AND Ø3.0 MM

The INITIAL S EVO kits for self-compressing cannulated screws each contain a quick-release drill bit, a 3-in-1 ancillary, a quick-release handle, and guidewires.
To facilitate use and storage, the instrumentation has been shared between Ø2.6 mm and Ø3.0 mm screws, with a dedicated kit for Ø2.25 mm screws.

  • Kit for Ø2.25 mm self-compressing cannulated screws (Ø0.9 mm cannulation – length 12 to 34 mm)
  • Kit for Ø2.25 mm self-compressing cannulated screws (Ø0.9 mm cannulation – length 12 to 34 mm)
  • Kit for Ø2.6 mm self-compressing cannulated screws (Ø1.1 mm cannulation – length 10 to 34 mm) and Ø3.0 mm (Ø1.1 mm cannulation – length 10 to 40 mm)

All three feature hexalobe connections.

The screws are not available in the INITIAL S FOOT kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box)

KIT FOR CHAMFERED CANNULATED SCREWS Ø3.5 MM

The INITIAL S EVO instrumentation kit for Ø3.5 mm chamfered cannulated screws includes a quick-release drill bit, a 3-in-1 ancillary (reamer, differential gauge, and screwdriver), a handle, and guidewires.

This kit has been developed for:

  • Ø3.5 mm self-compressing chamfered head cannulated screws (Ø1.5 mm cannulation – length 20 to 60 mm)

The screws have been specifically developed for the treatment of Hallux Valgus in percutaneous surgery using the so-called MICA technique. They feature a 45° bevel at the level of the threaded head. Once correctly indexed at the end of insertion, the bevel helps minimize head protrusion, thereby reducing soft tissue irritation.

These screws can be used in association with the G•Halva guide, a targeting guide for forefoot percutaneous surgery.

The screws are not available in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box)

KIT FOR CANNULATED COMPRESSIVE SCREWS Ø3.5 MM

The INITIAL S FOOT kit for Ø3.5 mm cannulated screws with head includes a quick-release drill bit, a 3-in-1 ancillary, a double guide (for guidewire and drill bit), a quick-release handle, and guidewires.

This kit has been developed for:

  • Ø3.5 mm compression screws – Ø1.25 cannulation (length 14 to 50 mm)

Optionally, a sterile compression washer (integrated into the instrumentation kit) is available for use with these screws.

The screws are not available in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box)

KIT FOR COMPRESSIVE CANNULATED SCREWS Ø4.0 MM

The instrumentation kit for Ø4.0 mm cannulated compression screws + washers includes a differential gauge, a 2-in-1 ancillary, a drill bit, a handle, guidewires, and compression washers.

This kit has been developed for:

  • Ø4.0mm compression screws – Ø1.4 cannulation, short thread (length 26 to 70 mm)*

Optionally, a sterile compression washer (integrated into the instrumentation kit) is available for use with these screws.

The screws are not available in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box)
